Global Jazz Heritage Museum
Growing up in a musical family in Mamelodi where only jazz was played, one was inspired to only listen to it. Tshwane was known to be the capital city of jazz. This is the place where the jazz dance and attire would be worn on Jazz occasions.
South Africans have always been big consumers of jazz music, this museum will promote local and international jazz music and will also introduce different types of jazz music according to their countries of origin.
This program seizes the opportunity to document more than one hundred senior jazz musicians, performers, relatives, and business associates. Interviews conducted by jazz promoters and recorded by a professional production houses will be kept for exhibition purposes. Production, transcription materials made through TV stations will be requested for the Museum.
